Hartlepool Remembers: 80 Years of Freedom – Family Fun Day

The programme began with a family‑friendly event offering creative activities inspired by the theme of freedom. Visitors were invited to take part in crafts, games, and hands‑on making, all designed to spark conversations about remembrance and the legacy of peace. The session welcomed people of all ages, encouraging families to explore the theme together in a relaxed, playful setting.

From Conflict to Community: 80 Years of Reflection – Exhibition

Hartlepool Community Hubs & Libraries also hosted From Conflict to Community, an exhibition marking eight decades since the end of the war. Bringing together stories, images, and reflections, the display invited visitors to consider how Hartlepool has changed over the past 80 years – and how ideas of freedom have evolved with it. The exhibition offered a thoughtful space for remembrance, community pride, and shared reflection.
