Bramble Woods became the setting for ATTENTION!, an evocative evening of music, light and shared experience created as part of Our Freedom: Then and Now. As dusk fell, visitors were welcomed into the woodland by fire pits and lanterns crafted in a community workshop, transforming the space into a warm, glowing environment for gathering and reflection.
The programme featured performances from the Military Service Children’s Choir and other musicians, encouraging audiences to pause, listen and connect. Throughout the evening, artist Adrian Riley led tours and talks exploring the themes and collaborative process behind a newly co‑created artwork, offering insight into the ideas that shaped the piece.
Filmmaker Nathan Tower presented the first screening of his new film created for the project, accompanied by a talk about its development. Alongside these performances and discussions, food stalls, workshops and street performers ensured that visitors of all ages could take part, creating a rich, communal atmosphere in the heart of the woods.
