The Point Eastleigh invites you to The Fabrics of Freedom Celebration Parades.
The event is the culmination of a community-led project as part of Our Freedom: Then and Now.
The Point’s Creative Practitioner, Dani Bond, and community and ecology-tending interdisciplinary artist Alisa Ruzavina have led this exciting the project, fusing their practices in drama and theatre and visual arts and textiles to create inspiring creative experiences for the local people taking part, to discover what freedom means to Eastleigh 80 years on from VE Day.
The sessions have informed the creation of stunning, vibrant banners by Alisa Ruzavina which will be shared in celebration parades at The Point on Saturday 15 November, where everyone is invited to enjoy the beautiful artworks that have been created and the ideas behind them.
The Fabrics of Freedom Parades at The Point will take place at 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm.
Free to attend, no need to book. Meet outside of The Point on The Garden Stage to follow the parade.
