You’re warmly invited to a special community Tea Party at Cast Theatre, commemorating 80 years since VE/VJ Day, and celebrating shared freedom and humanity with people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures from across Doncaster.

During this afternoon of remembrance, creativity, and connection, you can enjoy:

• A short performance by Doncaster People’s Theatre
• Live drumming from the Citizens of the World drumming group
• A local singer performing live
• Filmed poetry from Year 6 children at Town Fields Primary School, Balby Central Primary School, and Lakeside Primary School
• Shared poetry created with b:friend and Changing Lives inspired by the poem ‘Freedom Road’ by Simon Armitage, commissioned to mark this historic anniversary
• Scones, pots of tea, and a community feast – please bring a dish to share!
