The Lillington suburb of Leamington Spa has a proud and rich heritage, and many local communities that are busy championing their town. At the heart of the town is not only a library, but a vibrant and hands-on Youth Centre. Vulnerable young people regularly attend the Lillington Youth Centre, and Warwickshire Libraries are proud to be working with the community there to explore the notion of freedom today. The group will use a mixture of archive imagery and street art to explore how freedom relates to the past and what it means to them now.

They will uncover their final street art mural at this (invitation only) celebration event, with refreshments for participants, their guests, and other young people from the area. A co-created freedom art activity will also be made on the evening.
