Marking both Fun Palaces and the culmination of Our Freedom: Then and Now, ARK’s re-opening weekend is packed with events and performances for everyone – and they’re all free!
Celebrations start on Friday 3 October with the launch of their newly created Freedom Garden – a response to Simon Armitage’s poem, Freedom Road. This will be followed by Freedom’s Just Another Word – an evening of music and spoken word on the theme of freedom featuring Morag Butler, Curley Wordy, Nata and Wyatt Riot.
On Saturday there are animation workshops with 1927, followed by a community ceilidh with Bower Street Morris and Ash Mukherjee. Sunday begins with LAStheatre’s Caspian’s Storm, and the weekend closes with Machloket produced by Take Stock. Join Nick Cassenbaum and Tash Hyman for an evening of food, live music and conversation exploring the diversity of the UK’s Jewish diaspora.
