Freedom 25: Poetic Placards & Billboards is a thought-provoking exhibition of art and poetry by ordinary Bristolians, supported by Bristol’s City Poet Sukina Noor and visual artist Sonja Burniston. Marking 80 years since the end of World War II, the project captures diverse reflections on what freedom means to us today.
Presented in Trinity’s Graffiti Room and across large-scale billboards on Old Market Lawn, the exhibition launches on Monday 17 November with a celebratory poetry sharing curated by Sukina and featuring the voices of the contributors. Enjoy an afternoon of powerful words and striking imagery, shaped by the community, and inspired by the freedoms we hold – and those still to be claimed…
Experience the exhibition, with the opportunity to take away copies of the artwork and poetry – thanks to a collaboration with Build Hollywood and Jack-Arts – until 30 November.
