Join Motherwell Library for a creative writing and poetry workshop with local poet and author Antje Bothin. Part of the Our Freedom: Then and Now programme, the writing produced from this workshop will form part of a larger exhibition in the Immersive Room at the end of the wider project.
This participatory workshop will be interactive and you will be invited to reflect on the end of the war and what freedom means to communities in North Lanarkshire, then and now. The poem Freedom Road by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, commissioned as the centrepiece of the UK-wide project, will be the inspiration point for the activity.
