Learn how to use fabric and thread to tell stories at this drop-in textile workshop led by artist Hayley Mills-Styles. As part of the Threads of Freedom project, you will be expertly guided to create embroidered, patchworked and embellished pieces of textile art, inspired by the history of Leeds and the Leodis photographic archives.

You don’t need any experience to join in and every contribution matters. While it may not be possible to include all individual works in the final textile artwork, your creativity and ideas will help inspire and shape the overall piece and will be in the digital artwork. This is a collective project, and your voice is an important part of it.
