As part of the Our Freedom: Derbyshire reflects on WWII project, local artist Steph Coley has been working with the Eckington community to create a piece of community visual art, inspired by reflections on the themes of what freedom means to us now. Three large collage pictures will incorporate work by those attending workshops and from the artist, and will be displayed in the library for everyone to see.

On 1 December, a celebration event will see the unveiling of the artworks at the library. You’re invited to meet the artists, view the artworks, and share thoughts on freedom and how it’s reflected in the collages.
