In collaboration with artist Amy Langdown, community groups in Battle Hill, Wallsend, and North Shields Libraries have worked to create a visual representation of what freedom means to them through producing lino cuts.

A banner created using their artwork has been commissioned which will be displayed in Wallsend Library with replications of the banner on display at North Shields and smaller visual representations at Battle Hill Library.

If you would like to attend the River to Freedom celebration event, head along to Wallsend Community Hub and Library at 11.30am on 14 November, when the artwork will be on display for the first time.
