As part of Our Freedom: Then and Now, Bolsover Library are delighted to welcome Derbyshire-based artist Heidi Luker who will be working with the community to create a soundscape of recorded conversations sharing their ideas of freedom and how society has changed since World War Two, especially for women.

Come along to share your memories and stories. Maybe you have recollections of your grandmothers, mothers, aunties you’d like to share?

There will be reminiscence collections and newspaper archives available for you to look at and you’re very welcome to bring along your own photos, letters, diaries or any other memorabilia that you’d be happy to share.

The session will be friendly and informal and you will have the opportunity to be recorded sharing your thoughts, memories and ideas which will then form part of the soundscape.

Free refreshments and cake will be provided, and Derbyshire Libraries look forward to welcoming you.
